Global Warming Ready?

Okay, so in case anyone's reading, I'd love to hear your thoughts about Diesel's "Diesel Cult" campaign. The slogan is "Global Warming Ready," and the ads really trivialize the issue, if you ask me. I went to the website to try to learn more, and now I'm completely perplexed: I can't tell if they're helping or hurting the cause.

hey,

I'm a senior in high school and I am in love with wesleyan. It is great that EON is thriving... watch out for me next year (if all goes well with admissions, of course). :o)

Diesel's campaign is definitely aimed at raising awareness of climate change rather than 'knocking' it. I can't imagine such a huge company like Diesel to put down the environment. If not for their own [good] beliefs, going green is a big gimmick these days and most businesses are just jumping on the bandwagon. I think you'll find this an informative read from a canadian site- http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/January2007/31/c3096.html

I'd like to learn more about environmental activism at wesleyan and your experience there. Please email me @ katelisi@gmail.com
